prayer & PRaiSE HEALING SERVICE
One of the pillars of Sin City Church is prayer. Jesus commanded that his house would be a house of prayer (Mt. 21:13). Join us for a reflective prayer and praise healing service on November 16 at 6:30pm. This service is designed to offer additional time for prayer from or with our prayer team and pastors. We give praise to God thru worship. We pray for the world, our nation, our city, families and individuals.
FRIENDSGIVING FEAST
We would love you to join us for our Annual Friendsgiving Feast on Sunday, November 24, following our 10am service. Turkey, rolls, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to pass if you are able. We will gather at the table at 11:30 for a Thanksgiving meal.
baptism
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF BAPTISM?
At Sin City Church, we practice believer's baptism. This act of being immersed in water (i.e., baptized) is done once a person believes in and professes Jesus as Lord and Savior. Baptizo, the Greek term for baptism, means to immerse or dip a person into water for a religious reason. Baptism is not the act of salvation but instead is a symbol of it. Going down into the water symbolizes being buried with Christ, and coming up out of the water symbolizes being raised to a new life in Christ. Baptism is one of the two ordinances practiced in the church with the other being Communion (i.e. the Lord’s Supper). Practiced as a public act at Sin City Church, your baptism is a witness to the church and joins you in unity with other baptized believers.
